Holistic Therapy
Have you been feeling depressed, anxious, overwhelmed and alone? Do you find that your mind and emotions control you? Are you stuck in repetitive patterns? I work with people who are suffering with these symptoms and I have over ten years of experience treating depression, addictions, anxiety and eating disorders. I have a background in art and have a warm, engaging (rather than silent) style of interacting. My experience includes work at two highly reputable Bay Area eating disorder centers, work as a Mental Health Assessor for UCSF, teaching graduate psychology classes and work for Mental Health Association of NYC. I teach clients to use meditation and mindfulness tools and work from a holistic view addressing mind, body and spirit. Together, we will work to help you find new meaning and purpose in life. Additionally, I offer couples counseling for individuals struggling in their relationship. I also offer VIDEO sessions to make appointments more accessible. Finding the right therapist with whom you feel the most comfortable and connected is essential, and therefore, I offer an initial consultation at a reduced fee.

Kaleidoscope ABA Therapy Services

ABA Therapy Treatment for Autism
Community/In-home and Center-Based
Kaleidoscope ABA provides one-to-one ABA therapy services in New Jersey and Massachusetts that empower children to create their own journey in life by reaching their highest potential. Kaleidoscope ABA Therapy Services provide intensive ABA therapy to clients in their home, community, or at one of our centers. Services individually tailored for the needs of your child. Assessment and Treatment Planning Our relationships always start with a comprehensive assessment by a Behavior Analyst that captures specific levels of behavior at a baseline to be used in the subsequent establishment of treatment goals. A carefully constructed, individualized and detailed behavior-analytic treatment plan is developed. The plan is followed up with ongoing and frequent direct assessment, analysis, and adjustments from our Behavior Analyst, based on a child’s progress as determined by observations and objective data analysis. Focused Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Treatment for Autism Focused ABA therapy services are provided to individuals who need treatment only for a limited number of key functional skills or have a specific acute problem behavior in which its treatment should be the priority. Treatment generally ranges from 10-25 hours per week of direct therapy. However, certain treatment programs for some behavior may require more than 25 hours per week of direct therapy. Comprehensive ABA Treatment Our Comprehensive ABA looks at producing changes across a broad set of functions including cognitive, adaptive, social, and emotional domains. Treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder often involves 30-40 hours of one-to-one (1:1) direct therapy per week. Young or newly diagnosed children may start with a few hours of therapy per day, with the goal of increasing the intensity of therapy as their ability to tolerate and participate permits. The goal is to ultimately decrease hours of therapy per week when the child has met a majority of the treatment goals and is moving toward discharge. Social Skills Programs One of the most prevalent challenges for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is in the area of social skills. This includes difficulty with observational skills, eye contact, play interactions, taking another’s perspective, making inferences, sharing enjoyment, and building relationships. Our Social Skills treatment programming works on functional skills including (but not limited to) establishing social communication skills, natural environment safety skills, and independent leisure skills making it possible to appropriately participate in family and community activities. One of our goals is to develop the lifelong ability to experience these events in a positive productive manner. Parent Participation Training Outside of treatment, it is important for parents to have the ability and techniques to reinforce the skills their child learns in therapy by incorporating them into daily routines. As with any skill, practice is critical. Parents actively involved in their child’s therapy often increase the progress made by their children. Our treatment plans include the appropriate parent participation and training to ensure they can reinforce their child’s development beyond the therapy setting.

Psychotherapy, whether it be for the individual, the couple, or the family can be an invaluable experience. Psychotherapy can mean coming to a better understanding of yourself—becoming an expert on the self. It can mean understanding others around you and understanding your relationship with them. There are a variety of reasons why people find therapy helpful. In addition to therapy's being instrumental in helping people confront depression, general anxieties, and drug and alcohol abuse, psychotherapy can also be a valuable tool in helping people through particularly stressful transition times. Every person, every family undergoes life transitions. Some transitions are more stressful than others, and the intensity of the stress may depend on a confluence of events. For example, for some, the death or illness of a family member may be the stressor for which they seek help. For others, it is a career change or a geographic move. Other transitions that may precipitate the need for therapy include the birth of a child, the dissolution of a marriage, or “simply” the youngest's leaving home. Such life events marshal changes in our lives and create a disequilibrium. To learn skills to understand and hurdle the disequilibrium, psychotherapy can be of immense and lasting value.

Creating Awareness, Integration and Healing
I rely on an integrated approach to psychotherapeutic treatment, facilitated within a holistic and healing environment. I utilize a combination of theoretical orientations and methodologies in order to arrive at a place of self discovery and healing. I utilize the transformative qualities of Hypnosis, Dream-Work and Stress-Management techniques, so clients can find clarity and resolutions to inner conflicts, facilitating meaning and integration. I use different approaches in the field of energetic work, such as Reiki, Chakra Balancing, Energetic Body awareness, and other energy psychology approaches, to increase awareness of our own inherent but often dormant healing capabilities.

Changing Your Tomorrow Today!
I treat adults for depression, anxieties, phobias, addictions and similar emotional disorders, using behavioral and cognitive methods that have clear scientific support of their effectiveness and efficiency. They do not involve extensive exploration of a patient's childhood or unconsciousness mind. Instead, my methods are active, directive, and educative; I aim at solving the problems the patient faces here and now. Group & individual therapy sessions are available weekday evenings, Saturday & Sundays.

Practical Ways to handle Life Transitions
I understand beginning therapy is not an easy decision to make, but the result can lead to a life-changing experience. It can become overwhelming when the stress and worries in our lives become insurmountable. It can leave us feeling immobilized and sometimes depressed. We can become tired of talking about making changes in our lives but not know what direction to go. Perhaps circumstances can prevent us from living our best life. Through a collaborative process I can provide you with effective tools and insights that can help you live a happy and fulfilling life.
