Leaders in Neuropsychology and Mental Health Treatment
NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS Neuropsychological evaluations are a crucial component in understanding the complex relationship between the brain and behavior. These comprehensive assessments delve into cognitive abilities, emotional functioning, and behavioral patterns to provide valuable insights into an individual’s neurological strengths and weaknesses. By examining various cognitive domains such as attention, memory, language, executive functions, and visual-spatial skills, neuropsychological evaluations offer a comprehensive understanding of an individual’s cognitive profile. This understanding is vital for accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and developing targeted interventions as well as serving as a baseline assessment, allowing for monitoring of cognitive changes over time. Ultimately, these evaluations play a pivotal role in optimizing outcomes, guiding interventions, and improving the overall quality of life for individuals facing neurological challenges. CONCUSSION MANAGEMENT The Center for NeuroWellness offers specialized concussion services dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of concussions. We understand the unique challenges and complexities of concussions, and our goal is to ensure optimal recovery and long-term well-being for our patients. With a multidisciplinary approach, we offer a range of services, including thorough evaluations, personalized treatment plans, symptom management, academic accommodations, cognitive rehabilitation, and guidance on return-to-play, return-to-learn, or return-to-work protocols. Our compassionate team is here to support you every step of the way, providing the expertise and care you need to navigate your concussion recovery journey. PSYCHOTHERAPY & COUNSELING Our dedicated counseling services provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking support and guidance. AYCMARC for busy and nocturnal people.
We are open when everyone else is closed
Hi my name is Mark Miller, CEO and lead therapist At Your Convenience Mental Health and Relationship Counseling of Denver (AYCMARC). I designed AYCMARC is for busy and nocturnal people. We are open when everyone else is closed. AT AYCMARC we believe that Your day off is your day off and should be used for fun, Not Therapy! At AYCMARC you can receive quality mental health counseling, addiction counseling, career counseling, and relationship counseling and/or mental health assessment, career assessment, and psycho-neurological assessment at your convenience. At AYCMARC we know that life happens when most mental health, addiction, career, relationship counseling, and assessment practices are.open. We Also understand you cannot leave early without risking your job. Until now your only option was to race to the counseling center after work so you are not over 15 minutes late and turned away because of your tardiness, but are still expected to pay for the session. The last choice is not receiving the help you or family needs. This may be fine for some people, but what if you court ordered? What if you cannot handle or cope with your issues without professional help. At AYCMARC we believe that you should not have to suffer because of inconvenient mental health, addiction, assessment, career, and relationship counseling practice hours. AYCMARC recognizes that you are busy after work taking the kids here or there, trying to get supper ready and other chores. At AYCMARC we know how hard it is for you to squeeze counseling in the mist of all this. This is one of the reasons why we are open late; for the busy person and family who wants to heal or strive for wellness. AYCMARC also realizes that some people work late at night, your nights are days and days are nights. Research on sleep is clear there needs to be consistency with a sleep schedule. Inconstancy of sleep hour can cause insomnia. It is no wonder why you have sleeping problems because most mental health, addiction, and relationship counseling practices are making you get up in the middle of your night on your day off.

If Life Is Getting You Down Get Help Now. Find Joy Now.
Too Much Stress Is Not Healthy, Learn How to Handle Stress.
"Life isn't about finding yourself. It is about creating yourself" - George Bernard Shaw -Do you yearn for that special someone? -Do you feel lost and confused right now, not sure in which direction to go? -Do you find you rarely have time to do the things you want to do, leaving you feeling resentful or guilty? If you find that these questions are your questions, I can help. Often there are times in life where we seem to “hit walls.” Nothing we do seems to be right, negative thoughts and worries run rampant. Our loved ones complain about our behaviors or moods that we can’t seem to control. Feeling hopeless and overwhelmed, we panic, feel anxious, depressed, sad and hopeless. It’s common to want to run away, distract ourselves, just give up, or blame others. Every artist dips their brush in their own soul, and paints their own nature and creates their own picture. As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues. What I tell my Clients is that if you do not define you, someone else will. Blending conventional and alternatives approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals. Work on conflict resolution with a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, achieve the personal growth in all areas of your life. “Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.” ~Carl Jung Why do people seek therapy? Some have to suddenly respond to unexpected changes in their lives, while others seek self-exploration and personal growth. When your old ways to cope are overwhelmed by guilt, doubt, anxiety, or despair, therapy can help. Coping skills are learned as are boundaries and my form of counseling can provide support, problem-solving skills, and new, improved enhanced coping for issues such as lack of confidence, relationship troubles, unresolved childhood issues, bereavement, spiritual conflicts, stress management, body image issues, and creative blocks. “Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.” ~Carl Jung Our work together will provide new meaning to old problems. Move away from crisis today. If this resonates, I can help you find the joy in life you deserve.

Child, Adult, and Family Therapy
I Work with Those Who Are Anxious, Depressed, or Angry.
I work with both children and adults who are experiencing distress due to behavior or emotional conflict. The typical case for children is in those experiencing behavior problems, or who may be nervous or depressed. I strive to help families who have had a loss in the family, whether through abandonment, death, or a divorce. Relationship problems are the most common problem I work with in adults. Co-dependency and divorce recovery are associated problems. I deal with those who are experiencing anxiety or panic attacks. I also strive to help those who are depressed, or may be grieving a loss of a loved one or job. I provide evaluation and counseling when custody is at issue in a divorce. I work with attorneys, and I provide testimony in court. In these instances, my primary responsibility is to the welfare of the child, regardless of who is paying me. I encourage both parents to become a part of the process.

Counseling can help you Better manage life transitions and challenges Gain relief from the effects of depression and anxiety Work through past trauma and pain Replace unhealthy habits with healthier lifestyle choices Improve self-esteem and confidence Create and/or improve healthy, lasting relationships Learn to be more fully present and grateful in the moment Increase your spiritual connection Achieve more balance in spirit, mind, and body About Me: Welcome, and thank you for your interest in learning more about me, and my practice. I am a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor, with a cozy, private office centrally located in the Hillcrest/Banker's Hill neighborhood of San Diego. Our offices are easily accessible by public transportation, are handicapped accessible, and provide off-street parking for your convenience. I believe therapy is a collaborative process toward healing and personal growth, where with trust and unconditional acceptance, people are reminded of and gently guided back to reconnecting with their own inner knowing. With a focus on integrating spirit, mind, and body, clients are empowered to define and achieve their goals in therapy as we work together to identify a plan of action that facilitates reaching those goals and affecting true change as quickly as possible. Helping clients identify and work toward reaching their goals while learning to be more present in the moment, and to thrive in life in pursuit of their highest good, is what I strive to help people accomplish in session. With the practice of mindfulness, and the help of other therapeutic interventions designed to reduce stress and anxiety, people can experience relief from self-doubt or self-consciousness, freedom from past defense mechanisms that may influence their reactions in the present, and freedom to reinvent themselves fearlessly without regard to what others may think of them. It is an honor to be part of this process of helping people become empowered as they discover many of the answers to life's challenges lie within themselves. In a comfortable, confidential, and supportive atmosphere, clients are able to achieve the personal growth we all strive for.

I’ve been a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Massachusetts since 1988, working with individuals, couples, families, groups, and veterans. My clients say my commitment, engagement and honesty helps them open up and be real with me. I've published articles about stress, pain, geriatric psychology, and attitude change. Our relationship can begin with an initial free phone consultation. Sessions are 45 minutes. During our initial meeting, we set goals, determine approximately how many sessions might be needed, and decide what type of therapy would be most effective. My hobbies include yoga, biking, and creating stone and rock sculptures.

Therapy means many different things to different people. For some it is a journey of growth, self-awareness, and healing. For others it is necessary for them to survive. For some it is something they are mandated to do, and for many it is something they really want to do. No matter where you fall on this spectrum, I am here to support you through your process. Therapy is about where you are, where you want to go, what you want to explore, and joining you on your experience. I am here to guide you, focus you, support you and push you when needed.

Everyone’s Story Starts Before Treatment
The Guest House Ocala provides the highest concierge style treatment services to those who suffer from trauma and underlying issues, causing self defeating behaviors, such as substance and process addictions, anxiety, and depression. The injuries we receive on our journey through life often go unwitnessed and unacknowledged. The hurt and the shock embedded by these painful memories instill a sense of disconnection from our bodies and impair our ability to process our true feelings. At The Guest House we believe that sharing your story with others creates an environment of emotional intimacy and trust, a place of connection, that allow us to experience real forgiveness and reconciliation. We believe sharing the darkness in a sanctuary of love and compassion is the birthplace of transformation.

San Diego, CA 92101
First Avenue Counseling Centre (FACC) is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing low-fee counseling services to San Diego families. We began in 2002, shortly after another local counseling agency had closed its doors, leaving a significant need for these services in the community we love. In addition to offering individual, couple, and family counseling, we also offer groups focusing on relationship counseling and anger management. Low-Cost Individual Counseling Problems in work, relationships and family happen to all of us. The counselors at First Avenue Counseling Centre are trained to help.Perhaps you're struggling with decisions about a relationship. Maybe work is not as satisfying to you as you would like it to be. You may be struggling with the loss of a loved one. Whatever you're going through, having a therapist to guide you through it can make the journey a bit easier to handle. While a therapist can not solve your problems for you, he or she can be a caring guide through dark times. Couples Counseling (Relationship Counseling) Romantic relationships are never easy. Our partners see us at our strongest, as well as at our most vulnerable. One of life's greatest challenges can be keeping a relationship together through rough waters. The counselors at First Avenue Counseling Centre are trained to help.Problems of trust, power, intimacy, raising children--these are all common in relationships, and counseling can help resolve them. Coming to counseling by itself is a powerful statement. It is a testament to how much you want your relationship to work, and how willing you are to do what it takes to make it happen. An openness to discussing your problems and a commitment to taking action are great first steps to successful couple therapy. When working with couples, we frequently use co-therapy as a means to balance the session. For example, when seeing a heterosexual couple, we usually will have one male and one female therapist present. This way we ensure everyone will be fully understood, even in experiences truly unique to their gender.

As a licensed marriage and family therapist I am dedicated to providing services to families, couples, and individuals from a systemic viewpoint. This means that I look at a family as more than a group of individuals. Rather, I see you and your family as a unique and complex interaction of relationships. Below you will find several policies and procedures necessary to begin a working relationship together. Please read through this information and ask any questions you may have. In any other incidences you must sign a release of information in order for me to communicate with another organization or individual regarding you or your family. Evaluations/Testing — The goal of our therapy sessions is to provide support to families, couples, and individuals as they move toward recovery, development, and maintenance of healthy relationships in their lives. With this in mind, it is important to maintain a neutral environment where all family members feel safe and are able to express emotions freely. Therefore I do not provide evaluations or testimony in matters of custody or separation and divorce proceedings. If you desire such services your lawyer can aid you in obtaining references for those services. Additionally I do not provide intelligence, educational, or career testing. Hope - Help - Healing
In my private practice I encourage clients to express their feelings, discuss what is happening in their lives and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques used to address depression, addictions, suicidal impulses, stress, marital or other relationship problems, grief and loss. We are living in a difficult time in American Society. Un-employment is high, people are suffering with financial concerns, we are still at war and face the prospect of increasing our involvement in the affairs of other nations, at a time when our country is more polarized than ever before. Most people are also concerned about the new health care plan coming in 2014. All of these issues, added to the personal concerns of individuals, are causing tremendous stress. Many people are afraid of taking the first step in seeking help for their emotional and mental problems such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment issues and substance abuse.

At SMR Counseling Services, we get your mental health in shape. We work one-on-one with clients acting as "personal mental health trainers" which allows us to respond to the unique needs of each individual. Our goal is to help you uncover your true potential in order to lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for a "personal mental health trainer" to provide extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, we look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Areas of expertise: ■Individual and Couple Counseling ■Addictions, Eating disorders, Self-Mutilation In home interventions ■Post-traumatic stress ■Expressive and Healing Art Therapy ■Depression, Anxiety, Phobias, Sexual Identity Issues ■Relationship issues ■Mind Body disorders ■Sexual Trauma and Deviancy It is my belief that life throws us many different situations and circumstances, some of which we can deal with ourselves and some of which we need an outside source to help guide us along the way. Asking for help by society is viewed as a crutch, but in essence asking for help is the strongest characteristic we could have within ourselves. Not asking for help symbolizes the ultimate form of weakness and fear. By admitting our imperfections and need for help it is my belief that we enable ourselves to live fuller and happier lives. “We neither get better or worse as we get older, but more like ourselves.” Buddha

Psychologist/Psychotherapist/Hypnotherapist: all age groups
Past Life Regression and Future Life Progression Therapist
I have been privileged to serve people, dealing with life issues, at different stages of their growth. Helping children overcome their abuse, anxieties, depression, relationship issues, to name a few, through psychotherapy was where I started. That also led to working with adults i.e, parents, grandparents. With Children I used also Play therapy and Activity group therapy. Thus working with all the different age groups was an outcome of the family therapy. This also led to working with parents by themselves without children's presence. I have used Hypnotherapy since 1980's including regression in this life time. Since 1995 I had been fortunate to work with Dr. Brian Weiss, the author of Many Lives, Many Masters. There, at the Weiss Institute, I have extended regression to past lives as well. Since 2002 I have been in my own private practice.
