Online Psychotherapy
I offer an alternative to traditional in-office therapy through secure, HIPAA compliant video sessions on doxy.me. My practice is rooted in accessibility, compassion, and integration, making therapy available to anyone seeking growth, healing, or clarity no matter where they are. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the complex emotional patterns that shape our lives. As an Integrative Therapist, I draw from a variety of theoretical approaches including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and humanistic frameworks. This allows me to tailor each session to the unique personality, needs, and goals of the individual. Rather than adhering to a single model, I help clients uncover what truly works for them, whether it’s developing insight into the past, learning new coping skills, or cultivating emotional regulation in the present moment. My approach emphasizes authenticity and collaboration. I believe that therapy should be a safe and supportive partnership where you can explore your story without judgment. Many clients come to therapy feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward. Together, we work to transform those feelings into understanding and action. You will find that our sessions balance structure with flexibility, allowing space for both emotional depth and practical problem solving. Online therapy offers the utmost convenience, privacy, and comfort. Sessions can be scheduled at times that fit your lifestyle, removing the obstacles of travel, traffic, and scheduling conflicts. Many clients appreciate the ability to connect from their own home or private space, where they often feel more relaxed and open to self-reflection. For individuals who are apprehensive about visiting a therapist’s office, telehealth creates a sense of safety and ease that encourages engagement and progress. Confidentiality is central to my practice. doxy.me is fully encrypted, secure, and compliant with all federal privacy standards. You can trust that your personal information and session content remain completely private. Therapy is an investment in your well-being and your future. Whether you are seeking relief from stress or anxiety, working through depression or trauma, improving your relationships, or simply striving for greater emotional balance, I provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where real change can occur. My goal is to help you develop resilience, insight, and tools that will continue to support you long after therapy ends. If you are ready to begin, reach out to schedule a session. Together, we can create a path toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

Are You Feeling Down and Can't Stop Crying? Is Your
Relationship Off Track? I Can Help You Live Better!
How I work: First we will have an introductory conversation on the phone. I will gain preliminary understanding of the problem you need help with. If I will feel that I may not be the right fit, I will provide you with referrals for therapists who specialize in the issue you are seeking a solution for (i.e., pain management). We will also discuss fees. In our first session I will go over the inform consent and office policies with you and will collect data for the intake. I will become very involved with you and we will work as a team. I will ask you what your goals are and after a couple of sessions, I will discuss the treatment plan with you. You will be in a very safe and supportive environment. I will learn to know who you are and what your personality is and I will adapt the therapeutic process to meet your individual needs. We will discuss your progress as we go along and make changes if the need arises. We will also discuss those changes to ensure that we are on the right direction in your path for personal growth.

*I accept insurance and am a provider for: Cigna, Aetna, Value Options, Magellan, MHN, CHIPA and more. Psychology is my true calling, my gift, and my passion. I do not believe in labels of dysfunction. I see the potential for true "health" in every individual. I am Dr. Susan Murphy, PsyD, my daughter (Ally Tracy) and I, both USC grads, have joined forces as a dynamic mother/daughter duo, combining over 15 years of Psychology and Holistic practice experiences, to provide integrated counseling in the Palm Springs area. We offer individual, family and group counseling for a wide variety of your concerns and issues. We also give talks and workshops on many mental health issues . I also founded a Drink Moderation program called Motivational Recovery. This 6 week program, based on a Harvard research study, and practiced in Europe and Canada for dozens of years, allows the problem drinker the choice of learning to drink moderately or choose abstinence. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I find hypnosis a wonderful adjunct to quickly uncover, explore, and heal issues from past childhood trauma and experiences, present fears, and future anxieties. These issues or patterns, once helping us survive childhood, can now be making our lives unmanageable. Releasing past negative issues, whether through traditional therapy, or hypnosis, can help us reclaim our sense of trust and our ability for intimacy and sexuality without fear and guilt. I also specialize in counseling for sexual addictions. Many perceived sexual "addictions" are not really "addictions", but a result of our not being able to really connect with anybody. One way to tell if you are engaged in healthy or unhealthy sexual activity is how out of control you feel and are you causing others and yourself pain. Ally Tracy has a unique gift as an intuitive counselor, specializing in the creative and healing arts-such as, Chakra Energy Balancing, Meditative Practices, Creative Art Therapy, Life Coaching and Self-esteem building. Ally is a published freelance writer and studied and taught drama in New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Ganey Counseling & Consultation is a small private practice located in Central Bucks County PA. We strive to see clients become healthy individuals and families that are learning how to care for theirselves on their journey of life. We work from a Cognitive-Behavioral perspective that emphasizes clients learning more about what they believe about theirself that may be conscious or unconscious and drives thoughts, choices, reactions, emotions and view of life. As clients learn how to know and understand their beliefs and values and the impact these have on life, they are better able to assess the health of their beliefs and values and make changes where necessary so that they achieve sustainable changes in life. Our goal is to treat the whole person, couple or family. To that end we attempt to work closely with primary care physicians, nutritionists, psychiatrists and other providers to meet all the needs of our clients. We are working to bring together in one office building in the next year a family medical practice, physical therapists and medical specialists from a local hospital. GCC is currently comprised of; Dr. Kevin Ganey, a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in Children and Adolescent treatment, anxiety, adjustment, depression, ASD, eating disorders, educational concerns, and psychological assessment. I believe that people have an innate ability to heal, and I know that the keys to balance and well being exist inside of you. My work as a therapist is to use the tools and skills that I have learned and those that are inherent in me, to unblock the barriers on your path to health and wholeness. It is my hope, that I may aid you in calling home the lost and wounded parts of yourself and integrate that back into the complete and amazing you. Do you struggle with ongoing depression or anxiety?
Have you tried talk therapy without good results ?
Do you struggle with anxiety, fears and phobias or flashbacks and panic attacks. These symptoms of anxiety also cause depression. Have you tried to get rid of these symptoms using talk therapies alone? Have you been disappointed with those results? EMDR is an evidenced based therapy which lessens feelings of shame, fear, and other feelings that hold self judgment and self limiting beliefs . Beliefs are important because they drive our livesIf (especially the beliefs that are unconscious). EMDR is a process that can easily change your perspective and disempower these limiting beliefs. I use EMDR and EFT (emotional freedom techniques) for faster relief of symptoms of sadness, shame, and fears. These are the 2 therapy techniques that bring the fastest relief to clients in emotional pain.

Couples Skill Building
When the Skills Are Applied the Marriage Will Thrive
Action Relational Therapy Offers Effective Therapy Centered in Relationships and Skill Building. Why couples therapy? Aiming to regain what brought you together: Silent tense car rides replace the lively conversations and laughter of years before. Being in the company of the person you love seems more painful than being alone. What happened? There could be many reasons why couples experience difficulties and misunderstandings that set them apart and weaken the once very close relationship. Couples therapy at ART has been successful because it focuses on partners regaining what brought them together. For Couples Who Have Children: When children experience problems such as substance abuse, ADHD, uncontrollable negative expressions of anger, depression, oppositional behavior, anxiety or any other life difficulty, the relationship between the parents is often affected, and the couple find themselves fighting to help and save their child, and also to maintain their own relationship. Sometimes, it is the wife who feels that she does not get enough emotional support and is parenting the troubled child alone. Her criticism of how her husband is handling the situation affects him deeply and the interactions between them are very negative, and both blame each other for what they are experiencing as parents and as a couple. A Cycle that Repeats Itself: Their troubled relationship is obvious to everyone in the family, and the child facing the difficulties may experience a sense of guilt, hopelessness, and isolation. Not knowing where to turn, or what to do, the child's symptoms become more recurrent and serious, as this happens, the parents become fearful and frustrated, and most of the time, their arguments increase and intensify. In response, the child reaches a crisis. Healing Starts with you, the Couple: Couples therapy along with family therapy will not only restore peaceful, clear communication between husband and wife, but will also greatly increase the chances for their child to regain mental and emotional health. It is not important to find out what came first, the couple's relationship difficulties or their child's symptoms. The most important goal is to achieve a general sense of well being among all members of the family. This is possible by developing skills that will greatly improve the couple's communication, and conflict resolutions styles. For Couples without Children: Gaining back trust, consideration, appreciation and care from the one you love becomes an important goal for couples who find themselves in a relationship crisis. It is not only important to talk about "the issues", but to develop skills that will help couples to establish calm communication without arguing and placing blame on each other. This effectively decreases the crisis couples usually face by the time they seek therapy. At ART of Florida, we facilitate skills development, which means that each spouse learns to identify and apply necessary skills.

As a licensed clinical social worker and certified sex therapist with over 40 years of experience, I bring a broad perspective and a practical approach to my work. I deal with issues of relationships, parenting, depression and anxiety, as well as concerns around sexuality, including disparate desire, dysfunction, lack of desire, unusual sexual preferences, sexuality and disability and aging, sexually transmitted diseases, and polyamorous relationships. I have a solo practice with an office in the Mission-Noe Valley district of San Francisco. I offer brief phone consultations, have no office staff and look after all facets of the practice myself. Providing a safe and private enviornment is a priority. Although trained in the psychodynamic model of therapy, I have evolved a briefer, present-focused treatment approach using cognitve and behavioral strategies.Treatment focuses on developing insight about unproductive behaviors, building communication and relationship skills and solidifying gains made in therapy.

Feel understood fast
for Doubters, Pouters and Everyone in Between
Many of us are reluctant to try psychotherapy until we have exhausted every conceivable means of coping with our problems. The reasons that we don't seek professional help is complex. But whether it is fear of change, pessimism or defensiveness the root may be not wanting to face ourselves. Effective therapy is about facing things about ourselves that we either can't or don't want to see. There are obvious reasons for our lack of success in love, work and relationships, yet we remain blind to them. We know that angry communication never works but we continue to act as if it does. We withhold our true feelings not only from others but ourselves. We wander through our lives sometimes dazed, sometimes confused and often disconnected. We are hurting but act as if we are invulnerable. We can be pleasant, polite to a fault, generous and kind, but, alas, feel empty at the same time. Media about movies about aliens, robots and the undead reflect the alienation from self that is so prevalent in contemporary life. We look away from ourselves. We think that problems are outside of ourselves not within us. Learning to solve the problems within us is a major goal in psychotherapy. “You have every right to expect psychotherapy to be a force for personal growth. An effective therapist will help you see your problems clearly, so that solutions become emotionally apparent and therefore, accessible. Successful therapy will address your anger and anxiety. will diminish your shame, self-blame and self-doubt. It will help you to face yourself in ways that you have avoided or been unaware of. Effective therapy makes change inevitable. If therapy does not succeed in addressing of deep frustration with self and others, it's not working. Interventions are designed to raise self-esteem, self-respect, personal authority and improve interpersonal communication underlying feelings of loneliness and isolation. I have been a licensed therapist for over four decades. My expertise is based on a wealth of personal as well as professional experience. I am familiar with every phase of the life cycle and the particular issues that arise in each phase of your journey. I encourage you to take the first step toward self-exploration. I hope to aid you in your self-affirmation.

Counseling can give you an opportunity to grow and learn new ways of coping with transition or loss. I have always had a passion for helping people and feel I am good at what I do. I believe that the heart of successful counseling and psychotherapy is a trusting, professional relationship with thier therapist . More than ever, people need a safe, private place to talk about what really matters. As a therapist for over thirty years, I have experience working with clients presenting a wide range of concerns. Together we will work to replace ineffective patterns with successful coping skills. I am experienced working with individuals, families; adolescents and parent child relationships. In my experience with couples I have seen a wide variety of styles. A key to most successful couples is thier ability to communicate and work through issues. When issues are resolved they seldom reappear in future interactions. Couples generally come into therapy becasue they want to improve or change something in thier relationship. Couples will learn to identify strengths in themselves and each other, improve listening skills; and learn more effective problem solving techniques. My clinical training and specialty is treating anxiety, depression, and issues related to traumas and Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

Psychotherapy for Couples and Individual Adults
If you are looking for a therapist, I would encourage you to speak to at least three different clinicians on the phone or take the time to have an initial consultation visit. It's important that you feel comfortable enough to let yourself be known by whomever you choose to work with. For no other reasons than chemistry and connection, some of us will be a good match for you and others won't. When I commit to working with a couple or individual, I am intending to create an intimate relationship that is built on trust and connection. The relationship needs to be able to withstand the tumult of painful and positive memories, angry outbursts as well as joyful hopes for the future. I have been working as a psychotherapist for twenty five years. As I age and grow, my own life perspective certainly effects the work that I do.However, the foundation of my work is rooted in a strong connection between me and the people I come to know.

Couple and Individual Therapy
I welcome individuals and couples from traditional, non-traditional, heterosexual and lgbtq ifestyles who live in the Northern California Bay Area. My areas of specialization are EMDR for trauma resolution and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. I am Certified as an EMDR Therapist by EMDRIA ( the EMDR International Association) and Certified as an Emotionally l Focused Therapist by ICEEFT ( The International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy). My style reflects a synthesis of cognitive, body-centered (somatic), emotionally focused and psychodynamic approaches to couples, individual and group therapy. INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: Many people who suffer from low self esteem, anxiety, symptoms of trauma or relationship struggles also grapple with negative core beliefs about themselves. Some of the common negative core beliefs include: I'm a bad person, I'll always get it wrong, I'm defective, It's my fault, I'll never feel safe, I'm helpless, I'm stuck and I don't have any choices. Those beliefs usually come from a time when we were profoundly overwhelmed by a frightening, chaotic or unpredictable situation. A type of therapy called EMDR which stands for ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can be a way to turn around those beliefs and create a new adaptive way of seeing oneself that is grounded in a healthy adaptive adult view of reality. In addition to EMDR, I often incorporate body-centered ( somatic) therapy. Somatic therapy is a way to study how we form our habitual body-based patterns- some of which work very well and others that are not working so well in relation to ourselves and others. In the process, we can learn how to create new ways of organizing ourselves in a muscular-skeletal way that result in greater options and choices in how we live our lives. COUPLES and FAMILY THERAPY: One of my specializations is Emotionally Focused Therapy- an evidenced-based approach to helping couples and families tap into their emotions ( the good, the bad and the ugly) and create a solid foundation for deep, resilient, intimate emotional healing and connection based on trust and understanding.

Evaluations, Treatment, and Consultations
I focus on three primary methods in attempting to help clients: Psychological evaluations, Therapeutic counseling, and short term Consultations. My therapeutic purpose is to help you define your goals in a manner that allows you to reach them with an active positive ‘here and now’ experience. The primary therapeutic techniques in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I specialize treatment of Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and other disabilities. When working with families changing how members interact and communicate with each other is a fundamental key to encourage children to grow and reach their potential. Psychological evaluations can be needed for a variety of reasons and I have conducted them as part of an assessment for learning disabilities, medical/surgical requirements, and documentation of hardship letters. Consultations are done when an important, but brief, question arises and additional professional feedback is sought. Feel free to contact me by email if you have any questions.

Psychotherapy
My first question to any new client is, “How will you know when therapy is over?” This helps us both to define the goals of therapy. Together, we’ll focus on solutions to problems, and build on the strengths already there. I’ve been a therapist for children, adults, and families on the North Shore for ten years. My private practice is located in Glenview, Illinois and I work with families and individuals from the surrounding communities including Northbrook, Northfield, Deerfield, Glencoe, and Highland Park as well. I work with clients on issues including anxiety, trauma, divorce, separation, loss, depression, asperger’s, and other spectrum disorders. I provide a safe and relaxing environment that’s designed to help facilitate healing and change.

Our problems with our friends lovers families and workmates, frequently reflect our struggles with our selves. Feeling stuck, lost chronically angry or unhappy, can result from conflicts and feeling states inside us that we are unaware of. Also, unresolved issues from the past, can result in chronic emotional disruption and pattens of thinking feeling and perceiving that work against us I provide the kind of focused listening and safe, relaxed environment that allows each individual I work with to develop a self awareness and self acceptance that lead internal and external changes. Quick, Easy, Be a Better You!!!
Kari has an intriguing approach that allows her to work with traditionally resistant clients. She uses a therapy that is especially suited for those who don't want to face their trauma or pain, don't have the words to express their trauma or pain, and don't want to even talk about the things in their life that are causing them trouble. This unique approach allows her clients to receive almost immediate relief of emotional pain and the suffering it causes, all without the use of any hypnosis. Often those who have received this type of therapy notice that along with it comes improved physical functioning, increased energy, improved relationships, more positive outlooks, and more motivation to achieve their goals.
