Chinese Medicine -- Acupuncture -- Aesthetican
Having learned Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cera Lynn has taken an eclectic approach to Acupuncture. Her experience with Japanese needling techniques, shiatsu, and Dr. Tan’s Balancing methods have given her a selection of choices for individual needs. Some of us have different responses to healing techniques and Cera’s intuitive approach brings fruitful results. What is Oriental Medicine? Acupuncture is a different paradigm of medicine. Nature and elemental theory merge to diagnose and treat chronic and acute illnesses. In addition, TCM maintains optimum health in those individuals who actively wish to prevent disease. How Does Acupuncture Work? Qi or the “Life Force” flows through a network of twelve major pathways or “meridians.” These correspond to specific organs, such as the heart, spleen, liver, etc. Along these meridians are specific acupuncture points which affect the corresponding organ system. These points are also used to treat different conditions of disease. When the acupuncture needles are inserted into these specific points, the meridians are opened to allow the “qi” to flow properly, thus restoring health by balancing and harmonizing the energy to the organs. What Medical Conditions Can Oriental Medicine Treat? In China, acupuncture is used for most conditions of dysfunction as well as being an adjunctive treatment for cancer patients. Degenerative diseases are improved; as well as speeding the healing time for post-surgicial procedures. Traditional Chinese Medicine is based on a complete system of healing which helps prevent illness, treats many conditions and improves a persons overall health and their sense of well being. TCM and Acupuncture help to relieve symptoms and signs of health problems that are both chronic and acute. It can uncover the underlying "root" cause of those symptoms. Acupuncture and TCM help to activate the natural healing abilities of the body. It can also support and strengthen the body to prevent future disease or illnesses. Acupuncture is a very safe, natural , effective and drug free way to achieve optimal health and maintain it. This ancient medicine revolves around the theory of Qi. If the flow of Qi is disrupted, disease will appear. At Lee Acupuncture and Healing Center you can expect us to listen to what our patients have to say. Our goal is to have our patients leave their session with a great sense of well-being, a feeling of relaxation and relief from their symptoms particularly if they are experiencing pain and anxiety. If the patient has an acute condition, our goal is to give them immediate relief. If the condition is chronic, or one they have had for a long time, our goal is to create a treatment plan to address the root of the problem. Tongue and pulse diagnosis are used as well as other diagnosis techniques. We offer acupuncture, herbal therapies, moxa, tuina, facial rejuvenation, cupping, nutritional guidance, TDP lamp therapy and more. The first visit lasts approximately one and half hours where an in depth intakes is reviewed. Follow up visits last from 30 to 45 minutes. A review of symptoms and an explanation of the TCM pathology is reviewed with the patient.

Help Your Body Heal Itself with Acupuncture!
Hi…. I’m Dr Elizabeth Stephenson. I am an acupuncture physician in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is my belief that our bodies are designed to heal themselves. Most of the time the body does this job perfectly. For example, if you cut yourself, you can just put a bandage on the wound and it will heal. You have a team of inner resources that flows with your blood to areas of the body that need attention. Red blood cells carry oxygen to nourish our tissues at the cellular level. White blood cells and platelets are always ready to respond to assaults from the environment. Other members of the team include the neurotransmitters, endorphins and hormones that keep your body healthy, balanced and vibrant. This all goes on behind the scenes, with little thought or attention from the consciousness that is in ownership of the body. As a practitioner of Chinese Medicine, I have found that the further people live from the natural life, the more likely the body will be unhealthy. Florescent lighting, processed foods, sedentary lifestyles, and the stresses of our modern society all take their toll on our nervous systems. Sometimes our energy circuits get blocked, causing our organs to have difficulty in communicating with each other. This is when the body needs acupuncture, herbs or massage to restore health. An acupuncture physician is a lot like an electrician. We insert tiny sterile needles into precise points to encourage the body’s healing resources to enter the targeted area. This opens up new pathways for the healing energy of the body to travel… a new way for your body to actually heal itself.

35 Years of Experience
Over the past 35 years, I have successfully treated thousands of patients with many, many different types of illness: to name a few - strains, sprains, back problems, knee and shoulder ailments, carpal tunnel syndrome, impotency, drug, alcohol, and nicotine addictions, hypertension, heart disease, and even cancer. In fact, I have close working relationships with some of the best oncologists in the world. Most importantly, I don't hesitate to refer to other MD, osteopathic, and chiropractic physicians when appropriate and necessary. To get my patients well, I use Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture, auricular therapy, drug detox protocols, sotai exercises, Chinese herbal remedies, and/or functional nutritional medicine. I am quite familiar with the following approaches to acupuncture and the practice of traditional Chinese medicine: Five Element, Manaka, Dr. So’s, TCM, and Toyohari style treatments. I am also well versed in German electro-acupuncture diagnostic techniques (and their limitations). Ultimately, patients are responsible for their own health, and I serve to assist them to regain their health and to stay healthy. I educate patients as to the seven pillars of health: 1) good nutrition, 2) clean air, 3) pure water, 4) clear light (and this encompasses exposure to electro-magnetic fields), 5) adequate exercise, 6) enough rest, and 7) peace of mind. I have written numerous articles on health related subjects, was Contributing Editor of Alternative Medicine magazine, and have done pioneering research on the prevention, causes, and treatment of cancer and heart disease.

Expert Integral Healthcare for All Ages.
The goal of my practice is to bring more health, wholeness, comfort, and joy into the lives of those it touches. It is also a clearinghouse of health related information and a support to those in need of change. My personal mission is to heal, support, and co-create health, playfulness, and cooperation in individuals, our community, and the world. My personal philosophy of medicine is that everyone is a mysterious and wonderful being. As such, discovering the basis of a person’s condition and their personal path to wellness requires a thorough and careful evaluation. While some ailments may be common, the actual cause of the condition, and the path to healing may be different for every individual. That is why one of my goals has been to develop an understanding of and experience with many approaches to health, illness, and treatment, and to know how and when each approach will be most successful. For many, the cause of disease is a disconnection from their potential. In order to heal, people often need to find connection with life, find meaning, and realize that they can make a difference. These people must undergo a process of self-discovery. Learning what foods or activities their body likes, what their personal goals and preferences are, what brings meaning to their lives, and how their relationship to the people and places in their environment effects them are all important aspects of that process.
