An Atmosphere of Change
Sometimes you discover that the path you find yourself on is not the same path you had set out on in the beginning. By participating in the psychotherapy process, you allow yourself to strengthen what is best in you, so that you may become more effective and satisfied in dealing with challenges you encounter in your life. I work with you to help you rediscover and nurture your innate strength and capabilities and to use your inner wisdom to guide your actions and sooth your emotions. Therapy can help you build on the capacities that you have already developed. It can also help you learn how to think about old problems in new ways and how to act differently when facing them. To the extent that it is necessary, therapy can allow you to take a broader look at what has gone wrong in your life and what improvements will be necessary for your circumstances or experiences to become more satisfying. Beyond looking at yourself clearly and mastering new skills, therapy will help you develop greater self-control and self-esteem. I offer counseling sessions for individuals, couples, and families.

Relationship Off Track? I Can Help You Live Better!
How I work: First we will have an introductory conversation on the phone. I will gain preliminary understanding of the problem you need help with. If I will feel that I may not be the right fit, I will provide you with referrals for therapists who specialize in the issue you are seeking a solution for (i.e., pain management). We will also discuss fees. In our first session I will go over the inform consent and office policies with you and will collect data for the intake. I will become very involved with you and we will work as a team. I will ask you what your goals are and after a couple of sessions, I will discuss the treatment plan with you. You will be in a very safe and supportive environment. I will learn to know who you are and what your personality is and I will adapt the therapeutic process to meet your individual needs. We will discuss your progress as we go along and make changes if the need arises. We will also discuss those changes to ensure that we are on the right direction in your path for personal growth.

Welcome to Lori Underwood Therapy in San Diego! You have access to help TODAY with your most critical relationships! I focus on achieving realistic, lasting results for highly motivated San Diego professionals and their families in two critical areas: work and family relationships. Mine is a solutions-focused therapy practice with a proven track record of training high-performing individuals to guide their most important relationships into balance–quickly and effectively. Work relationships can cause stress, affecting family relationships. Signs of job stress can vary from person to person, depending on the particular situation, how long the individual has been subjected to the stressors, and the intensity of the stress itself. Some symptoms of job stress you may be experiencing include, but are not limited to: •Absenteeism •Anxiety •Depression •Extreme anger and frustration •Family conflict •Insomnia •Loss of mental concentration •Physical illnesses such as heart disease, migraine, headaches, stomach problems, and back problems •Substance abuse Markers indicating your work relationships may be out of balance include: •Feeling burned out •Most everyone you know thinks you’ve got everything together, when inside you feel like you are falling apart •No matter how hard you try you overwhelmingly feel like nothing ever seems to be “good enough” •Others tell you they know you can do it, but deep down you’re left wondering if you can Family relationships that are out of balance can result from and/or be the cause of stress at work. If your stress is affecting–or is a function of–your relationship with your spouse, ask yourself if you are feeling any of the following toward (or from) your spouse: •Contempt •Criticism •Sarcasm •Stonewalling If you are experiencing one or more of the above, now is the time to take action. Each emotion can often represent a marker of a stress fracture in your relationship. The good news is your relationship can be repaired. You have the answers inside you and together we can identify them. Know that there is hope for you and your relationships. I am confident I can help you TODAY.

We offer individual, family and group counseling for a wide variety of your concerns and issues. We also give talks and workshops on many mental health issues . I also founded a Drink Moderation program called Motivational Recovery. This 6 week program, based on a Harvard research study, and practiced in Europe and Canada for dozens of years, allows the problem drinker the choice of learning to drink moderately or choose abstinence. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. I find hypnosis a wonderful adjunct to quickly uncover, explore, and heal issues from past childhood trauma and experiences, present fears, and future anxieties. These issues or patterns, once helping us survive childhood, can now be making our lives unmanageable. Releasing past negative issues, whether through traditional therapy, or hypnosis, can help us reclaim our sense of trust and our ability for intimacy and sexuality without fear and guilt. I also specialize in counseling for sexual addictions. Many perceived sexual "addictions" are not really "addictions", but a result of our not being able to really connect with anybody. One way to tell if you are engaged in healthy or unhealthy sexual activity is how out of control you feel and are you causing others and yourself pain. Ally Tracy has a unique gift as an intuitive counselor, specializing in the creative and healing arts-such as, Chakra Energy Balancing, Meditative Practices, Creative Art Therapy, Life Coaching and Self-esteem building. Ally is a published freelance writer and studied and taught drama in New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Often, no single treatment technique is sufficient in helping clients achieve both the intellectual insight and emotional understanding needed for lasting change. Among the therapeutic techniques I offer, alone or in combination, are SENSORIMOTOR PSYCHOTHERAPY, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, EMDR, Short-Term Solution Focused Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy, and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy.. i have trained with some of the leading experts in the field of Psychotherapy. Survive an affair/ infidelity ...then thrive as a couple!
Develop the relationship you've always dreamed of having!
From my many years of experience as a psychotherapist, I know the quality of our relationships is central to our entire experience of life. If our primary relationship is not going well, it is hard for us to be truly happy so I am especially passionate about helping couples in crisis, when there has been some kind of betrayal. So many relationships that start out feeling wonderful and exciting end up in frustration and disappointment. In addition, life crises can stress a relationship to the brink. It saddens me to know that couples go through the intense pain of breaking up only to struggle in their next relationship. It doesn't need to be that way. I help couples learn skills that give them immediate relief from their most hurtful encounters and foster deep empathy, understanding and connection. In only a few coaching sessions with your partner, you will learn how to communicate in ways that: * Rekindle friendship and passion * Truly resolve long standing conflict and * Lead to individual growth and satisfaction. I see psychotherapy as helping people access their inner resources, deepen their self awareness, develop strategies for overcoming obstacles and break old habits, and learning coping skills to face the inevitable stresses of life. I am an empathetic, active listener who approaches my clients' concerns with deep respect, honesty, pragmatism, caring and sometimes, with humor. I am results oriented and ensure that my clients can transfer what they experience and learn in my sessions to their real life. I am humbled and honored by the trust my clients have shown me over the years as me I have accompanied them on their journey back to safety and and enriched personal relationships and to more fulfillment and satisfaction with life.

Psychotherapy
My first question to any new client is, “How will you know when therapy is over?” This helps us both to define the goals of therapy. Together, we’ll focus on solutions to problems, and build on the strengths already there. I’ve been a therapist for children, adults, and families on the North Shore for ten years. My private practice is located in Glenview, Illinois and I work with families and individuals from the surrounding communities including Northbrook, Northfield, Deerfield, Glencoe, and Highland Park as well. I work with clients on issues including anxiety, trauma, divorce, separation, loss, depression, asperger’s, and other spectrum disorders. I provide a safe and relaxing environment that’s designed to help facilitate healing and change.

Holistic Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples
I take a holistic, body-mind approach in psychotherapy and work with clients to cultivate a grounded, more compassionate vision of their lives. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples discover a deeper, lasting sense of security and intimacy within themselves and with one another. I will work with you to define and understand the source of your struggle, understand the purpose behind your patterns, reconnect with you essential parts of yourself, and improve your capacity to grow and accept change. I work with DEPRESSION, GRIEF, SHAME, ANXIETY, TRAUMA, RELATIONSHIP PROBLEMS, concerns around LIFE TRANSITIONS, as well as the issues surrounding cultural identity. While change is often an opportunity for significant personal growth, it is normal to feel overwhelmed by the internal and external pressures that accompany a change process. I provide a empathic, collaborative healing space in which to explore your thoughts, feelings and questions. My theoretical framework is a combination of insight/depth-oriented, relational, cross-cultural, cognitive and somatic (body-oriented) psychotherapies. It is my belief that transformation and healing ultimately rest within us all. Therapy is a journey toward living more fully and reclaiming peace and wholeness. I do not presume to have the answers or know what is right for you. My job is to help you understand yourself as deeply as possible, so that you live and embrace your relationship with yourself and others in a way that is healthy, vibrant and meaningful for you.

For Your Emotional and Relational Well-Being
My goal is to assist individuals, couples and families to develop emotional and relational well-being. This is done by learning new skills and having experiences so that new feelings and behaviors can be integrated into our life and relationships. When couples come in for marriage counseling they are usually in some sort of distress, frequently one or both not feeing their emotional needs are being met. When stressed people tend to either react or shut down, thus impeding communication. It is also hard for one to empathize and comfort the other when in a stress state. When each learns how to monitor their own stresses and has the tools for alleviating stress, relationships fair better. At this point it becomes easier to dialogue and learn about the other's needs and communicate ours. Indviduals seek counseling or coaching frequently because of stress in relationships. They may be experiencing anxiety or depression as a result. These relationships problems can be in family, at work or with friends. On occasion someone may seek psychotherapy for personal growth reasons, they want to feel they can understand themselves better and improve the relationship they have with themselves. Singles who are looking to find the right relationship also may seek counseling in order to help clarify who they are and who would be a good match for them. At other times people are suffering from trauma that has occurred from childhood wounds or more recent events. Until these wounds and traumas are healed and resolved they may impact the current functioning and wellbeing of the individual.

We All Need Help Sometimes
I'm here to help you feel better, do better, and get better
Whether you're experiencing depression, anxiety, or stress, or if you have problems at work or at home, my sole aim is to help you make the changes you desire. Likewise, if you're in a relationship and you're not getting along, suffering from a betrayal, or simply having trouble finding a partner, I can help you to understand what's going on and overcome your relationship challenges. I take a two-prong approach. 1) To help you find out "how did I get here?" so you don't have to re-visit this place again. 2) To help you learn new ways of relating, coping, and expressing yourself that foster good relationships, friendships, and work connections. If people have been telling you that you need to get over it or to move on, or if you think so yourself, all that does is add pressure to an already difficult experience. I take an "addition" approach - learning new tools and thinking about things in new ways - rather than a "getting rid of" approach (which doesn't work anyway!) Thoughts like - What's wrong with me? Why can't I be like other people - doesn't mean that something is ACTUALLY wrong with you! It could be that you're doing your best to cope with certain challenges, some of which may have arisen in your past. For example, if you were betrayed in a prior relationship and you don't trust your current partner, you're using a former coping strategy in a new situation. I would help you find new ways to deal with the lack of trust and other feelings that could be causing you to act in ways that may have hurt your partner and the relationship. As another example, let's say that there was a lot of fighting in your family and you closed yourself off in your room. Now, any time there's the potential for conflict you withdraw. You're protecting yourself from either being hurt or hurting the other person. But this relationship might be different from your past ones (including your family), and withdrawing could actually be harmful. With either example, one goal for therapy would be find new ways to cope with these feelings, as well as to understand that nothing is "wrong" with you. It's just that your actions may be counter-productive. The other goal is Empowerment; sometimes you may choose to withdraw or be untrusting - but the key is to choose and not automatically react that way. Another way I see therapy is putting puzzle pieces together. You may have all of the pieces, but we need to put them together to figure out what motivates you and why you feel the way you do - as well as making the changes you desire.

Help for Relationship Problems, Anxiety, and Depression
Are bitter arguments killing the love and respect you once felt for each other? Are you losing sleep, crying too much, or blowing up "for no reason"? Do you yell at the kids and later berate yourself for being a "bad" parent? Chronic arguing and lack of affection can leave us feeling depressed and irritable, with no hope for the future, little energy or pleasure in daily activities, and lack of desire to move closer to the ones we love. In tough times like these, talking with an impartial person in a confidential setting can be a relief and a source of new perspective. I have helped people like you work through challenges such as marital and workplace discord, parent/child conflict, suicidal thoughts, excessive anger, low self-esteem, infidelity and broken trust, ineffective communication, suicidal thoughts, processing rape or other traumas, and adjustment to divorce, death of loved one, job loss, or return from military service.

Mental Health Counselor/Therapist
Kentfield, CA 94904
Offices In Kentfield And Petaluma
Dr. Martin specializes in the treatment of Anxiety and Fears: Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Medical Procedure Fears, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Work Stress, Marital Stress, Specific Phobias. Treatment emphasizes Exposure-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Treatment is active, collaborative, supportive, and custom tailored to each individual. The patient works at his or her own pace while actively learning to think and behave in ways that increase confidence. Successful therapy leads to reduced anxiety, depression, avoidance and impairment. Dr. Martin has offices in both Marin and Sonoma Counties. Problems Treated: PANIC DISORDER: Panic Disorder essentially means fear of panic attacks. Many people (perhaps one out of five) experience panic attacks, yet most are not frightened about them. They are very uncomfortable, but are usually understood not to be dangerous. Most people float with them while the adrenalin burns off and within a half an hour or so, feel recovered and may feel a little “off” for an hour or so afterwards (like they just ran an Olympic sprint). A panic attack is a sudden and severe onset of anxiety which may include, for example, heart racing, difficulty breathing, feelings of dread and needing to escape, light-headedness or dizziness. AGORAPHOBIA: In most instances, Agoraphobia refers to the experience of great emotional distress in, or avoidance of situations where one fears having a panic attack. In other words, it often accompanies Panic Disorder. Situations include shopping malls, church services, parties, restaurants, airplanes, bridges, freeways, doctors offices and even medical and dental procedures such as MRIs where the patient feels trapped and afraid of having a panic attack or in some cases a more limited symptom (not quite panic). Again, the underlying fear here would be either physical harm; social humiliation; or losing mental control and somehow not being able to get help. OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or OCD may take a variety of forms. Six of these seem to account for most of OCD. Many sufferers experience more than one form and symptoms may change over time. GENERALIZED ANXIETY DISORDER. These patients have frequent episodes of worry, often many times a day. They worry excessively about such things as paying bills, traffic accidents, illness, etc. Their anxiety goes up and down as the individual is confronted situationally or mentally with a worried thought. SPECIFIC PHOBIAS. These include for instance, fear of heights, flying, driving, public speaking, closed spaces, or animals. These individuals usually know their fears are exaggerated but like all anxiety disorders they continue to wonder “what if.” Thus, they either avoid situations or endure them with much distress. DEPRESSION. Unlike an anxiety disorder, clinical depression often affects mood in many situations which are not stressful in and of themselves. Getting easily frustrated over small things is a common symptom of Clinical Depression. Depressed mood, tearfulness, loss of interest in normally pleasurable activities, lowered feelings of self worth and suicidal feelings are common symptoms. Getting increasingly frustrated or irritable, having constant ruminative worry, difficulty concentrating or remembering things, problems sleeping or with appetite can all feel like symptoms of anxiety. But they are also common symptoms of clinical depression. SITUATIONAL STRESS. Marital problems, grief over loss of a friend, work conflicts, or financial uncertainty are all examples of situational stress. These stressors may be temporary, but can also be quite distressing and impairing and can lead to more serious problems over time such as an anxiety disorder or clinical depression.

...there is hope...there is help...
Life can be difficult and at times people may require the assistance of a professional counselor to aid them in resolving challenges in their lives. Truth and Grace Counseling, LLC, was established to provide an opportunity for individuals, couples, and families to receive therapy in a nonjudgmental environment from Karen M. Bridwell, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), who is dedicated to helping people more fully enjoy their life and purpose. Truth was chosen because there is a healing power that can be realized when the truth concerning a challenge is revealed and accepted, and Grace was chosen because Karen believes that conveying truth in a compassionate manner is important in therapy. There are varieties of reasons why people seek counseling, but no matter the motivation, Karen believes they want and need to be accepted right where they are. She approaches each individual's unique story from a nonjudgmental position, as she seeks to understand the client's perspective in an effort to help them overcome their challenges. She is a goal-oriented counselor who uses a combination of therapies with clients, selecting the techniques that work best with each individual as together she and the client decide, develop, and pursue agreed upon objectives. Developing a therapeutic relationship is important as she and the client work together to uncover the thoughts and behaviors that are counterproductive in the life of the person. Then Karen has the client put into practice the alternative thoughts and behaviors that make possible the positive changes that will enable them to more fully enjoy their life and purpose.

"Therapist to the Therapy"
I am an empathic human being and a highly trained Certified Psychoanalyst, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Credentialed Alcoholism Counselor. I help others manage and resolve difficulties of the heart -- love, loss and work during significant life changes; for example, career change, death/illness in family, divorce, relapse with addiction(s), criminal arrests, loss of work, etc. I am committed to providing high-quality professional assessment and counseling/psychotherapy to people who have not accessed or have had prior unsatisfactory experiences with psychotherapy. I am also committed to travel the lengthy road of psychoanalysis with people who want to take this voyage. A second arm of my private practice is "Second Opinions": Some consumers are in a "stalemate" in their present "therapy"-- where there is a serious impasse and "work" is forfeited. I consult with individuals who can no longer productively work in their current therapy, oftentimes beginning to resolve major impasses. On occasion, the individual's therapist volunteers to be part of this process. In some cases, fruitful work is resumed. In other instances, a decision to leave the current therapy ensues. My interest in psychotherapy is borne by helping clients learn about themselves in seeing things differently—not changing their world, but having new eyes. By engaging in this process one finds obstacles in the past that impinge in reaching one’s full potential in the present. Psychotherapy is helpful in working through such issues by addressing the underlying emotions and bringing them into awareness. One may achieve a sense of inner peace and emotional freedom, making possible more fulfilling relationships with oneself and others. A third arm of my private practice is assistance to criminal defense attorneys specializing in high-profile white collar crime and DWI/DUIs. I have navigated the field of expert witness and prepared confidential psychiatric reports as well as prepleading memoranda to help individuals and their counsel have a win-win situation.

Why Wait to Have the Life You Want?
REMOTE SESSIONS DURING CORONAVIRUS: PHONE OR ONLINE
OVERVIEW Together we look at your life to see what works, what doesn’t, and why. We’ll see who you are, the relationships you’re in, and what stops you from having the life you want. We’ll see how you act, think, feel, and relate to others today and how those have been affected by your life experiences. We’ll work to change things so your life does work for you. TRAUMA You may feel anxious, depressed, or alienated. Here you can feel safe, talk honestly about what happened and about how it still affects you, even when other people don't understand or can't stand to hear it any more. I help you understand why you’re reacting as you do, even when you may feel out of control or a little "crazy." You'll learn ways to work through the psychological and emotional impact of what happened so you can get your life back. If you or your family member is a victim of violent crime, you may be eligible for therapy at no cost to you. ADDICTIONS (Substances and Behaviors) You might have difficulty with alcohol or drugs, or you may need help evaluating if that’s true, how great the difficulty is, or what you can do about it. You may also be asking similar questions about sexual behaviors or compulsions, porn, gambling, Internet usage, spending, eating, cutting, or anything else you do that feels questionable or out of control. Some people feel like they are addicted to another person, what sometimes is referred to as "love addiction." GAY/LESBIAN/BISEXUAL ISSUES While I work with heterosexuals, I also work with many gay, bisexual, or lesbian people, both individually and in couples. If you’re in a process of self-discovery, you’ll be the one to decide what your sexual orientation and identity is. If you’re now coming out, together we can consider if, when, how, and with whom you decide to do it. If you’re clear and comfortable with your sexual orientation, I can give you safe place where you can be open about who you and how HIV has impacted your life or your relationships MIND/BODY The mind and body are functionally identical. What you think affects how you feel, and what you feel affects how think. I work at both levels, with people who are interested in doing that. For people who aren't interested in the this work, I am happy to stay strictly in a talk-therapy mode. YOU SET THE COURSE, AND I'LL HELP YOU GET THERE. With a wise and loving guide you can find your way through your life story and beyond it into health. You can release emotions that have been stuck in your body your whole life opening you to a peaceful place within, because you are already loved and forgiven. You can release your shame and befriend yourself. I would like to help. I've been a psychotherist for 40+ years; I'm skilled in many approaches, ancient and modern. I love what I do, and am told that I'm very good at it. Often, people are helped by me after other approaches failed, filled with pain, fear and sadness; even with histories of trauma. Freud said that a therapist cannot take her clients deeper than she herself has gone. I face my own issues, so as to be clear, compassionate and without judgement. Do you struggle with ongoing depression or anxiety?
Have you tried talk therapy without good results ?
Do you struggle with anxiety, fears and phobias or flashbacks and panic attacks. These symptoms of anxiety also cause depression. Have you tried to get rid of these symptoms using talk therapies alone? Have you been disappointed with those results? EMDR is an evidenced based therapy which lessens feelings of shame, fear, and other feelings that hold self judgment and self limiting beliefs . Beliefs are important because they drive our livesIf (especially the beliefs that are unconscious). EMDR is a process that can easily change your perspective and disempower these limiting beliefs. I use EMDR and EFT (emotional freedom techniques) for faster relief of symptoms of sadness, shame, and fears. These are the 2 therapy techniques that bring the fastest relief to clients in emotional pain.

Counseling for Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Families
Clients often pursue counseling because of specific issues or because life has become more stressful and difficult as their previously used coping skills begin to fail. Past issues, losses, traumatic events, and present day transitions factor in to create struggles and issues that need to be worked through successfully. I believe that in working together as a team to find new, more constructive coping skills, the client can move from just surviving to actually thriving in their day-to-day environments, finding contentment, peace, and joy in and from life once again. I employ play therapy in my work with children as young as three years of age, as well as the use of other psychoeducational and therapeutic activities with adolescents, adults and families to help them make the needed changes. I am also Board Certified as a Professional Christian Counselor and incorporate Grace-Based Biblical Counseling in my work with families.

Couples Skill Building
When the Skills Are Applied the Marriage Will Thrive
Action Relational Therapy Offers Effective Therapy Centered in Relationships and Skill Building. Why couples therapy? Aiming to regain what brought you together: Silent tense car rides replace the lively conversations and laughter of years before. Being in the company of the person you love seems more painful than being alone. What happened? There could be many reasons why couples experience difficulties and misunderstandings that set them apart and weaken the once very close relationship. Couples therapy at ART has been successful because it focuses on partners regaining what brought them together. For Couples Who Have Children: When children experience problems such as substance abuse, ADHD, uncontrollable negative expressions of anger, depression, oppositional behavior, anxiety or any other life difficulty, the relationship between the parents is often affected, and the couple find themselves fighting to help and save their child, and also to maintain their own relationship. Sometimes, it is the wife who feels that she does not get enough emotional support and is parenting the troubled child alone. Her criticism of how her husband is handling the situation affects him deeply and the interactions between them are very negative, and both blame each other for what they are experiencing as parents and as a couple. A Cycle that Repeats Itself: Their troubled relationship is obvious to everyone in the family, and the child facing the difficulties may experience a sense of guilt, hopelessness, and isolation. Not knowing where to turn, or what to do, the child's symptoms become more recurrent and serious, as this happens, the parents become fearful and frustrated, and most of the time, their arguments increase and intensify. In response, the child reaches a crisis. Healing Starts with you, the Couple: Couples therapy along with family therapy will not only restore peaceful, clear communication between husband and wife, but will also greatly increase the chances for their child to regain mental and emotional health. It is not important to find out what came first, the couple's relationship difficulties or their child's symptoms. The most important goal is to achieve a general sense of well being among all members of the family. This is possible by developing skills that will greatly improve the couple's communication, and conflict resolutions styles. For Couples without Children: Gaining back trust, consideration, appreciation and care from the one you love becomes an important goal for couples who find themselves in a relationship crisis. It is not only important to talk about "the issues", but to develop skills that will help couples to establish calm communication without arguing and placing blame on each other. This effectively decreases the crisis couples usually face by the time they seek therapy. At ART of Florida, we facilitate skills development, which means that each spouse learns to identify and apply necessary skills.

Online Psychotherapy
I offer an alternative to traditional in-office therapy through secure, HIPAA compliant video sessions on doxy.me. My practice is rooted in accessibility, compassion, and integration, making therapy available to anyone seeking growth, healing, or clarity no matter where they are. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the complex emotional patterns that shape our lives. As an Integrative Therapist, I draw from a variety of theoretical approaches including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, and humanistic frameworks. This allows me to tailor each session to the unique personality, needs, and goals of the individual. Rather than adhering to a single model, I help clients uncover what truly works for them, whether it’s developing insight into the past, learning new coping skills, or cultivating emotional regulation in the present moment. My approach emphasizes authenticity and collaboration. I believe that therapy should be a safe and supportive partnership where you can explore your story without judgment. Many clients come to therapy feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to move forward. Together, we work to transform those feelings into understanding and action. You will find that our sessions balance structure with flexibility, allowing space for both emotional depth and practical problem solving. Online therapy offers the utmost convenience, privacy, and comfort. Sessions can be scheduled at times that fit your lifestyle, removing the obstacles of travel, traffic, and scheduling conflicts. Many clients appreciate the ability to connect from their own home or private space, where they often feel more relaxed and open to self-reflection. For individuals who are apprehensive about visiting a therapist’s office, telehealth creates a sense of safety and ease that encourages engagement and progress. Confidentiality is central to my practice. doxy.me is fully encrypted, secure, and compliant with all federal privacy standards. You can trust that your personal information and session content remain completely private. Therapy is an investment in your well-being and your future. Whether you are seeking relief from stress or anxiety, working through depression or trauma, improving your relationships, or simply striving for greater emotional balance, I provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where real change can occur. My goal is to help you develop resilience, insight, and tools that will continue to support you long after therapy ends. If you are ready to begin, reach out to schedule a session. Together, we can create a path toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

Finally, Someone Who Understands And Has
Skills That Can Help You
I have a small private practice in Dallas, just off of the tollway and Trinity Mills. I deliberately keep it small so that I can truly devote myself to the clients that I have. I am selective about who I take as therapy patients and coaching clients. I only work with people who are really committed to the process of their work. You can go at your own pace and in your own direction when you work with me. However, I have found that clients who attend therapy regularly and who commit to doing between-session work are the onces who are most successful. In our initial meeting, we will get to know each other and see if this is the right type of therapy for you. You can assess whether you think I would be the right therapist for you, and I will tell you honestly whether I think I am the right one to help you. If it is a match, I will be delighted to be a part of your journey. The type of therapies that I'm specialized in doing are called Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Cogntive Behavioral Therapy. You can visit my Dallas REBT CBT Meetup Group, which is a low cost psycho-educational group that I run monthly, during which I talk about REBT and CBT topics. You can also visit my other group: The Dallas Club Fearless Meetup Group, which is another low cost monthly group. I am also always gathering names of people who are interested in participating in a psychotherapy group at my office. Psychotherapy groups focus on your specific psychological needs, whereas the meetup groups are focused on topics and are not therapy groups. **Please note: at this time, I don't accept insurance. I can provide you with an insurance receipt for you to file upon payment. Please check with your provider to see if you have benefits to include out of network reimbursement directly to you.
