I’ve been a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Massachusetts since 1988, working with individuals, couples, families, groups, and veterans. My clients say my commitment, engagement and honesty helps them open up and be real with me. I've published articles about stress, pain, geriatric psychology, and attitude change. Our relationship can begin with an initial free phone consultation. Sessions are 45 minutes. During our initial meeting, we set goals, determine approximately how many sessions might be needed, and decide what type of therapy would be most effective. My hobbies include yoga, biking, and creating stone and rock sculptures.

Avalon Malibu is a residential treatment center located in Malibu, California licensed to treat drug, alcohol and mental health issues. It is the only Malibu treatment center directly on the beach with beach access. We are JCAHO accredited, dually licensed by ADP and by the Department of Social Services, and accredited by the Department of Mental Health to treat both primary psychiatric issues and also chemical dependency issues. MHC Interns and MFT Interns usually receive 1 hour of clinical supervision weekly while providing direct clinical services to clients. Supervision would be directed toward core competencies. Clergy: Clergypersons, seminary students (or CPE interns/residents) and their families often face distinct challenges that necessitate special attention about their sense of calling, managing critical relationships and integrating new discoveries about themselves. Compared to the general public, clergypersons are more at risk for burnout, depression, and chronic illness. The perception that the clergyperson is "the problem solver" can be extremely distressing and harmful to the individual, families and congregation.
