Leading NJ Psychotherapy Practice
The Institute for Personal Growth (IPG), founded in 1983, provides counseling and psychotherapy in New Jersey and New York City to people from all walks of life, concerning a vast number of issues and using a wide range of techniques and approaches in psychotherapy. We blend heart and mind to provide you with quality mental health services. With offices in HIGHLAND PARK, JERSEY CITY, FREEHOLD and satellites in other locations, we are close to most of northern and south/central New Jersey as well as NYC. We accept most insurance and have affordable fees. Our staff of therapists - psychologists and licensed clinical social workers - have significant experience, extraordinary professional qualifications and specializations in every conceivable issue and area of psychotherapy. As a result, we are one of New Jersey's most prominent and respected private mental health practices. IPG provides compassionate professional psychotherapy that combines the best of heart and mind. "Heart" in treating you as an equal - your life goals guide our approach and your therapy. "Mind" because, within this caring environment, we employ the latest discoveries in brain science and holistic medicine. We take pride in keeping current with cutting-edge professional techniques, but we know technical skill can’t work alone - it requires a non-judgmental, compassionate connection between client and therapist. We are also widely recognized for our trail-blazing work in the sex therapy field and are AASECT-certified sex therapists. But we do work with all kinds of people to provide our individual, family and relationship therapy services. We counsel kids, teens and adults, and we help with problems including stress and depression, couple counseling, low self-esteem, addiction, family turmoil and child behavioral problems. In addition, we are internationally acclaimed for our expertise on sexual minorities: gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender, as well as people in the leather, BDSM (kink), and polyamory communities.

Clinical Social Worker/Therapist

ADOLESCENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS
FAILURE TO LAUNCH
Elisabeth Coffey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey. She frequently works with professionals, many of whom have difficulty putting down their jobs and careers when it comes to building and enjoying their personal lives. She understands that the work-life balance is very important when determining how to live the life you want, and working on living a life in line with your personal values rather than continuing along with comfortable and established routines can be challenging. She will help you sift through all of the things keeping you too busy to work on changing anything and help you figure out where you can afford to pull back and want to. Elisabeth has an office in Florham Park, NJ but can also see patients remotely. It is her goal to listen to clients, understand where they're coming from, and enable them to understand themselves, what they want that they don't have, and identify what is preventing them from achieving their goals. Elisabeth realizes that there is much distraction from what we are feeling that it is nice to schedule a time and place once a week to allow for our feelings. She strives to provide a safe place to experience those feelings and work through them. She looks forward to helping you create meaning by putting everything into words and seeing the gifts in every experience and how they have shaped you into who you are. Elisabeth has over 20 years of experience working with adolescents and families. She is licensed as an alcohol and drug counseling specialist.

Supportive Space Counseling Center
The future of mental health care.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and National Board Certified TeleMental Health provider (BC-TMH). I possess extensive experience working in the field of mental health care with adolescents, adults, and families over the last 10 years. I received my Masters degree from Monmouth University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently working toward obtaining my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision with a specialization in Leadership Studies. I am also the owner of Supportive Space Counseling Center, LLC., New Jersey's first entirely online outpatient counseling agency founded in 2019. I believe that psychotherapy is a unique experience. It can bring insight, relief and empowerment. We all have the intelligence and strength to work through difficult issues, but sometimes we need a little help. If you are feeling anxious, depressed, lost or alone, therapy can help you move forward. As we work together to develop a deeper understanding of your thoughts and feelings, you will be more equipped to resolve the inner turmoil and confusion which at times affects us all. Self-discovery and gaining a deeper understanding of oneself is not always easy but it can be the greatest gift you could ever give to yourself and the ones you love. As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is fulfilling and meaningful. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals!

Counselor/Therapist in Bethlehem, PA
The need for therapy comes when we suffer and need relief. We suffer through worrying, sadness, and rejecting ourselves or changes in our lives. The troublesome feelings we experience often tell us where healing is needed and growth must occur. Growth calls us to therapy. Therapy can be a unique experience for each person. Sometimes, we engage in an undefined, yet active process, to embark on untapped facets of ourselves that have dictated our current suffering. Other times, therapy is a more direct and targeted process, tackling the here-and-now of a problem. Each person dictates their own therapy. When you and I meet, I can offer you a safe environment, supporting you to discover your own solutions. We will have a conversation about your past and your future. Then, we'll work together in the present to navigate our time in the way that you need. Hannah is a Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) practicing psychotherapy and counseling in Bethlehem. She serves surrounding Lehigh Valley areas. Though Hannah is competent in providing treatment to adults of all ages, she has specialized training and an interest in counseling young adults and college students struggling with the following issues: Finding an identity as an independent adult within a world of possibilities Defining values and "what our lives will be about" Navigating relationships, intimacy, boundaries, and "feeling alone" Anxiety and confusion about life's expectations Hannah is skilled in treating adult individuals and couples of any sexual orientation and gender. She works primarily with anxiety, depression, poor self-image and self-compassion. She enjoys working with insightful clients that seek an understanding of life's transitional issues, such as loss, change, and relationship stress. She does not see children under the age of 18.

Expert Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
Ganey Counseling & Consultation is a small private practice located in Central Bucks County PA. We strive to see clients become healthy individuals and families that are learning how to care for theirselves on their journey of life. We work from a Cognitive-Behavioral perspective that emphasizes clients learning more about what they believe about theirself that may be conscious or unconscious and drives thoughts, choices, reactions, emotions and view of life. As clients learn how to know and understand their beliefs and values and the impact these have on life, they are better able to assess the health of their beliefs and values and make changes where necessary so that they achieve sustainable changes in life. Our goal is to treat the whole person, couple or family. To that end we attempt to work closely with primary care physicians, nutritionists, psychiatrists and other providers to meet all the needs of our clients. We are working to bring together in one office building in the next year a family medical practice, physical therapists and medical specialists from a local hospital. GCC is currently comprised of; Dr. Kevin Ganey, a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in Children and Adolescent treatment, anxiety, adjustment, depression, ASD, eating disorders, educational concerns, and psychological assessment. Dr. Warren Saul, a licensed professional counselor, who specializes in couples; premarital and marital counseling, trauma, grief and the integration of religious and psychological values. Hilde McKernan, MS, LPC. She works with adolescents and young adults with anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment and development. We are credentialed with Aetna, Highmark BCBS and United Healthcare.
