As a Latin American male born and raised in Hudson County, NJ from a family of immigrants, I can understand the obstacles many people face every day. After a successful career as a banker/consultant, I became a Buddhist and started to understand life in all its dimensions, and our struggles. I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to help people finding joy and fulfillment. I have become fascinated and passionate about neuroscience and how it really informs our behavior, our emotional turmoils, our sense of self and identity, our conflicts with others. It's been really rewarding to find tools and to develop skills that transform the functioning of our brain to leave behind the struggle and open doors to peace and satisfaction. No more "coping" with all that makes us feel terrible! Healing is the option and with technology and the understanding of the nervous system, I apply techniques that regulate the nervous system, create new and better connections in the brain, and allow us to develop awareness and control. I also use techniques to reconsolidate the memories that have been lingering as ghosts and that are at the root of all that trigger us. Clients end up with a different perception, a more positive narrative, and a sense of agency that makes life easier.

Hi, I'm Bushra. I work primarily with Queer and BI/POC folks to navigate feelings of anxiety, grief, loneliness, guilt or shame. I also work with clients who are struggling with vulnerability in relationships, wanting to learn from attachment and trauma experiences, or just looking for a space to process emotions. I specialize in working with anxiety and depression as well as religious and attached-based trauma stemming from familial history. I center my therapeutic approach beyond the boundaries of a Eurocentric lens. I know that when you reach out for support, your main focus is receiving the help that you need.
